Our company was created by a periodontist and a prosthodontist who wanted to provide general dentists with a better implant AND an better way to build their practices.

Meet our founder
Dr. Jose Alberto, DDS graduated from NYU College of Dentistry 15 years ago and since then has placed more than 7,500 dental implants.
Having owned and operated five dental implant centers, Dr. Alberto has a unique understanding of the challenges general dentists face. He created BioThread to not only provide dentists with a superior dental implant, but to also help them improve the overall health of their practices.
“Because our implant is 98.9 percent successful, easy to use, and cost-efficient, general dentists are able to make more money,” said Dr. Alberto.
Dr. Alberto makes the Intrepid implant system available to general dentists by cutting out the “middle-man” and allowing dentists to purchase them directly from BioThread, the manufacturer. His concept of bringing “Machinist to Dentist” has been compared to the “Farm to Table” concept in the food industry – with the end result being a higher quality, more profitable way to purchase the product.
In addition to overseeing the manufacturing process and seeing his own patients, Dr. Alberto dedicates his time to mentoring BioThread providers, helping them develop a profitable dental implant program.
